I love to paint! I have an associate in specialized business degree in illustration. About a year after i recieved that degree, I went back to the same school for a one semester fantasy art program. Fantasy art is what I prefer to do. You really have to think everything and I love that its always full of challenges. My medium of choice is acrylics. My ultimate goal is to be able to make a comfortable living off my original fantasy paintings. Until then I'm up for any freelance work that comes along.

your welcome! your body painting work is insanely detailed. about how long does it take you to do one? i didn't have a chance to look through all of them yet but i'll leave you some comments when i do
:iconmarshon:
A full body takes around 6 hours or so.

that would just be devastating to me to spend 6 hours on such an impressive display of art and have the person just go an wash it off LOL! on the other hand you take pics very well of the final result so i guess its not that bad for you
:iconmarshon:
For me it's part of the appeal of the genre. Knowing that it's fleeting and original and will never be reproduced EXACTLY.

Are you working in the field? You were smart in getting the business degree. It will save you a lot of headaches in the future.

i don't think you will have any problem getting the front cover someday. good luck! i usually get pretty into detailing but painting every single one on those animals not for me LOL! you don't have any pics of them up on here do you? right now i haven't really been doing anything except working on getting better and trying to get all my scans done. i just quit my job which has nothing to do with art so i will have time to focus on what i love. right now the plan is to get all the scans done in order to start my own website where i can sell prints and possibly the originals. i know you can sell prints on here to. i might put up all the good scan pics when i get them done to bring in a little extra money. some of the ones i have up on here are from a digital camera so they have a little glare on them. i have 2 more weeks of work then after that i'll see if i can find any art jobs i might be interested in.

Keep it up! Your doing some great work. If you want to see some of the animals just go to my site. Click enter and then click on the "Other Art" icon. Click the "Nature" icon and the "Green Cay" Icon on the bottom right.

thanks! i know i still have a lot more getting better to do but now since i don't have a job i can get there faster. it didn't hurt having an excellent teacher thats an established fantasy artist. without him my artwork really would be nothing. my stuff from when i first started painting is so bad compared to what i'm doing now i won't even show it to anybody LOL! i checked out you sculptures and everthing else on you website. very impressive! it might of drove you crazy painting every single feather and detail on the sculpts but it was well worth your time. they look amazingly realistic. i like how you have the website set up also. how long have you been painting for?
:iconbadass-artist:
Thanks for the complement on my website. It's still a work in progress. I still need to set up an online store but that will come in time. I've been painting for a long time. I'm giving my age away her but I started professionally back in 1979 painting murals on custom vans. I spent the 80's Airbrushing T-shirts on the beaches her in Central Florida. I love the Gulf of Mexico. I left the biz in 97 with no intention to return but after a lot of harassing by some great friends I started painting again in 02. Freelancing can be great but the problem is that you can work for 3 solid months and then have six months of nothing. You can make some great money in a short period but can find your self still broke having to make up for the back bills. I not saying this to discourage you but to say be wise your money. I love to paint but I'm not a big fan of the "Business". It is what it is. A little faith and perseverance can go a long way. If you can stay out of the commercial end and still make cash, do it. Art has been my job for 30 years. It's funny the last thing I wanted to do when I graduated high school was art. I graduated with 4 Fs and one A. All the Fs were in art related courses. Who knew. LOL
