The last part of my three part feature. There are quite a few new favorites I have I would love to feature, so I'll probably be doing another one in the near future. I'll be uploading my photos from the zoo for use as stock in the next few days once I get a little more caught up on things. I 'm slowly making progress with the painting I've been working on. It's about 75% complete now.

Dark Daughter
The muted sighs
of deep desire
tangle
in the dark strands
of her parted hair,
caressing every lock
with whispers of
divine elegance,
speaking softly,
testifying
of her sacred love
with hushed
reverence.
"Dark daughter
we adore you,"
says the starlit wind,
which sings the
warm nightsong.
And all the
frolicking creatures
of natures evening
reverie
stop to hear
that sound.
"Dark daughter,"
says the sky,
"You are beautiful
standing poised
with slender grace
beneath the shadow
of my covering
arms."
And then she smiles
that endless smile
and all the beasts
of evenings' shade
begin to celebrate
anew,
while the scent
of midnight looms
behind
dark
